Custom MTG Tokens You'll Actually Be Proud to Put on the Table
Cardboard tokens are fine. Laser engraved stainless steel tokens are a conversation starter, a flex, and a genuine upgrade to your game night — all at once.
At DMV Designs 3D, we make custom MTG tokens laser engraved on stainless steel so you can stop fishing through your bulk box for a random Soldier token and start pulling out something that turns heads. Whether you want a Treasure token that looks like an actual treasure, a Thopter with your own artwork, or a fully personalized token for your signature Commander build — we engrave it and ship it, usually by the next day.
Why Metal MTG Tokens?
Paper tokens wrinkle. Penny-sleeved standbys get lost. Acrylic tokens are fine until they're not.
Metal is different. A custom stainless steel token is weighty, durable, and impossible to mistake for something random in the pile. It slides across the table the right way. It sits flat. It survives the kind of game nights that cardboard doesn't.
More importantly, a custom metal MTG token tells your opponent something before the game even starts: you care about your deck. That matters in Commander, where a third of the fun is the presentation.
Custom metal tokens also make genuinely great gifts — for the EDH player who has every card they need but nothing quite like this.
What Can You Customize?
Pretty much everything. Here is what you control when you order custom MTG tokens from us:
- Your artwork. Submit your own image or design and we engrave it exactly. No clipart library, no compromise.
- Card text. Change the creature type, power and toughness, name, flavor text — whatever the token needs to say.
- Token type. Golem, Treasure, Thopter, Saproling, Zombie, Soldier, Bear, Spirit — if it appears in Commander, we can put it on metal.
- Finish. Choose from silver stainless steel or matte black. Rainbow mirror finish is coming soon for players who want the full showpiece effect.
- Single or double sided. Single-sided tokens start at $34.99. Double-sided — useful for flip tokens or for packing more value onto one piece — are $39.99.
Every order ships in a slide protector with the DMV Designs 3D logo, ready to protect the card and look sharp doing it.
Perfect for Commander and EDH
Commander players generate tokens constantly. Bolas's Citadel makes Treasures. Chatterfang makes Squirrels. Avenger of Zendikar makes Plants by the dozen. Your token game should be as strong as your deck.
That is why the majority of our custom token orders come from EDH players — and why we have gotten good at knowing what Commander players actually want. A few popular requests we see regularly:
- Treasure tokens with original artwork for artifact-heavy builds
- Golem tokens for Urza, Lord High Artificer and similar lists
- Thopter tokens for Breya or any blue-white artifact deck
- Zombie tokens custom-labeled for that one Gisa and Geralf player in your pod
- Spirit tokens with haunting artwork that actually matches the vibe of the deck
- Custom creature tokens designed around a commander's specific lore or theme
If your commander makes it, we can engrave it. And when you slam a stainless steel custom token onto the table instead of a Basic Land lying sideways, everyone at the table notices.
How It Works
We made the ordering process simple on purpose:
- Submit your artwork and notes. Add your token order to the cart (link to product page), then upload your image and describe any text changes, finishes, or special requests in the notes field at checkout.
- Approve your engraving proof. Before we engrave anything, we email you the engraving image to review. You confirm it looks right, or you request adjustments. Nothing ships until you're happy.
- We engrave and ship — fast. Once approved, we get it done. Most orders ship the next business day. Sometimes the same day.
That is it. No lengthy back-and-forth, no mystery about what you are getting. You see the proof before the laser touches the metal.
